Friends are Swell…

We went last Saturday to our friends sons 1st bday party. His name is Micah and he is the spitting image of his dad…and his granddad…seriously! Did Miriam’s genes even have a chance?! Anyways, he is super cute and we had fun watching him. But seeing as how we dont have kids and really didnt know what he would like, we ended up making him a home made card and giving him $20. I mean, who gives a 1 year old money? Yep, we are swell friends, indeed!

Lucky for us, our friends are better to us than we are to them. For example (i know, you were just dying for an example…) on my birthday my friend Carrie sent her husband to my office to give me my birthday card. Ok, so lets be honest….yes, he already had an appointment, but hey! Who cares? She remembered to send it! I, however have had her birthday card in my car for almost 2 weeks now. I also bought her some reeces peices (who doesnt love those little candies???!!!) but unfortunately I ate them. What can I say? They were in my presence for more than 15 minutes…what else could i do? They were staring at me. Begging me, in fact to eat them. So i did. But the next day i went and got her some more and this time I was smart and bought myself a bag, too. So i ate mine and headed to her place to give my sweet gift to her when i find out that she is at the gym and wont be home for a while. And so the reeces are sitting there and they are destined to melt soon so i had pity on them and ate them too!!! YIKES!!! And i wonder why my left thigh wont fit into my wedding gown anymore!

So this is my warning to all of my friends. I AM A BAD, HUNGRY FRIEND! You may never get a good gift from me (probably because i ate it, not because i didnt think to buy you anything) and all kinds of important dates may go by without me recognizing it with a card. On the upside, I make all of my friends look fantastic in whatever they wear and i basically house a hallmark’s in my trunk. So if you can deal with all of that and still know that I absolutley adore my friends, then we are probably friends for life! Thanks to all of you who put up with me!

Hello world!

We hope that this will be a great way for friends and family who do not have a myspace page (why they dont, we dont understand…) to stay abreast of the progress in our family. Seriously, who says abreast anymore?!

This summer has been a busy one.  Jeff and I went on a cruise in June, he went on a mission trip to alabama in early july to help repair homes and I had a week off at the end of july where I simply got things done around the house. We have been crazy with the youthgroup activities and really have enjoyed every minute of it! We have the best youth group this year! We are so excited for all God is doing!

We are also trying to get some home improvement projects done around the house as well. This is what I personally love the most! Making a house your home is really special!

And we just celebrated my 27th birthday and our 6 year annivesary! Yay! God has been so good to us, and we hope that as things in our life change and grow, you will all be able to keep up with all our business via this website! Enjoy!!!!
