Memories, new and old

Jeff and I got to go to dinner tonight w/ Drew Hullinger and Rusty Collins from highschool. It was so much fun catching up on everything! And the best part of the night was back at Rusty’s parents house where his 2 boys (Fisher-3 and Sawyer-1 and a half) and I became good friends and played the night away while the grown ups reminisced about the days when they were in shape and could play baseball well. OUCH! haha. Well, they may all move a little slower these days but they are all still great guys and it was great to hear about all they have going on. I love catching up with old friends…especially when you havent seen each other in years and then you have conversation like you havent missed a beat. Those kind of friends are the greatest.

So now I have 2 new boyfriends. Watch out Jeff…Fisher even slipped me some tongue when he gave me a bye kiss! And Sawyer gave me the best bear hug ever…right after he whopped me upside the head w/ his truck. I think the hitting means he likes me? They are GREAT kids…

Nightcap, Anyone???

Some people drink night caps to ready themselves for bed. emoticon(that emoticon is funny as crap!)And although I’m not sure what a nightcap is supposed to consist of seeing as how i’ve never had one (officially)…I like to think that my version is better than any concoction anyone has ever made. My ingredients are simple and delicious: 1% lowfat milk and a crap load of hershey’s choclate. Mmmmmmmm……

Morgan…when are we starting our O.E.A. meetings?

And then I hear this morning that pregnant women should avoid caffine (no duh) and they listed some beverages to avoid. #3 on the list…CHOCLATE MILK! I’m gonna have to rethink having kids. emoticon

FINALLY!!!!

2 posts in one day! Its a miracle! And FINALLY…..Christmas pics!

So heres the deal. Christmas eve is a massive feast/family time w/ my family. It is held at my Mommie’s house where 20 of us cram into her 1100 square foot house. Its cozy, but we LOVE it. We all buy gifts for basically everyone (which is pure madness) although my cousins and I have worked out a deal so that we just buy for each others kids unless the cousin IS still a kid. Except that Tracy and Lindy BROKE that covenant this year and gave me some beautiful angels representing peace and hope. They are so sweet and it made me cry. Anyways…My younger cousin, Ashley who is 17 will have a rude awakening coming soon. I remember my transition into adulthood was uncomfortable come Christmas time. I still wanted to be a kid and get tons of presents. Well, for a couple more years she problably will.

Me and my personal Santa.     Me and      Mommie and I. We are CRAZY!     Its like a department store...only wrapped!

Christmas day is lunch w/ Jeffs family. This year we blew off the traditional ham and dressing dinner (its ok, we get leftovers at my moms house!) and we had STEAK! Yum!

Sweet! Still in love!

We had a blast at both places. WE love our families. Mine is WAY crazier than his, but it keeps us on our toes. And on our knees!

With so much going on (health wise) we went a little light on Christmas giving for each other this year. I gave Jeff the Simpsons movie, Scene It: friends edition, some jeans (by which he was devestated b/c he has moved up a size…who hasnt!?), and I cant remember what else. Hey, it was almost a month ago! And Jeff had the theme (who else but Jeff) of "everyday living" for my gifts this year. He gave me some under shirts for my scrubs (longsleeve), a chick-fil-a calendar w/ all the cupons..yum!, a starbucks giftcard, and a some hoop earrings. Finally, he wow’d me w/ a peridot pendant neclace. Its the birthstone of August…when our baby would have been due. He wanted me to always have something to remind us of our special baby. Wow. Anyone else need a tissue besides me?

So Christmas was great. The new year is off to a great start and we are excited for all God has for us!

Confession

Now I’m not catholic or anything but even good old baptists believe that confession is good for the soul. We even read in the N.T. to confess our sins. So why then is it that confessing to you all that I just ate a ton of raw brownie batter (is there anything better in the WORLD?) and 2 brownies after they cooked not take the calories off my hips OR make me feel better? Morgan says she needs a new diet..I’m just looking for the wagon so I can get back on at some point. Sad that there are 12 step programs for about every problem except mine. So i’m starting an over-eaters-anonomyus program.

Step 1: Find some friends who eat more than me so I can feel justified when I eat a brownie. Or 2, or 3, whatever.

Any takers? Oh, yeah, I hate E entertainment and their show "101 best celebrity bodies", too. I’m a better person for having confessed it, right?

Calculus…

Yes, its the stuff I clean off teeth all day and for me, that’s easy!!! But for Jeff calculus has a whole different meaning. Basically, it is what is currently haunting him. He is retaking the G.A.C.E on Saturday. He failed the calculus portion last time by 8 points. Keep in mind that he never even picked up a book and that its been 9 years since his last calc class. So this time he is trying to be more prepared…so lets keep our fingers crossed for a passing score this time. I know he can do it…he’s really smart (especially in math…YUCK!). So keep him in mind on Saturday morning and feel free to ask God to remind him of all the confusing stuff he’s been studying. I hope it makes sense to him, because I am seriously confused by all the study sheets he has laying around the house! :-)

I’m so excited, and I just cant hide it!

I swear that eventually I really will post pics from Christmas and New Years. By June, at least. Just so you all (the 3 who read this) know…I woke up this morning with a new optimism and motivation for everything. Maybe its the hormones…who cares why. Its an answered prayer.

But I need your help!!! Jeff and I are starting a new sunday school class for 21-29 year olds in 2 weeks and we need to find some marvelous material that will keep people coming back for more. The bible is the best…always…but we need some material to guide us through the bible! I personally have found group publishing’s In Pursuit of Jesus to be very interesting but I would love some input from some of you!!! So PLEASE HELP! Thanks!
