Didnt you all just HATE homework when you were in highschool? I did. I usually tried my best to get it done while I was on the bus or in another class that wasnt very interesting. Today, i got some new homework. Only this time it was from my orthodontist. Interested? Probably not…i’ll share anyways.
I now have 4 rubberbands I have to wear. Do any of you brace-face nerds remember those? I do. I wore mine religiously the FIRST go round (yet here i am again anyways…yep, still bitter). And i will wear them again. Only this time, i feel confident that my homework will pay off. How do i know? Well lucky for me (and sad for Dr P.) I know what should be happening this go round so I will be making sure that my hard work pays off and that its RIGHT before the braces come off this time!
To the fun part. I have to wear 2 rubberbands called the "Switzerland" 24/7. They hurt. All the time. Ouch. Note pic.

Then at night I get to wear this really great rubberband called the "Italy". Yeah, its in a N pattern from the top tooth wrapping around the bottom, around the top and hooking again to the bottom. Its beautiful. Like art. Take my word for it.
Finally I get to wear this FANTASTIC one right across my front teeth called the "Japan". I would just like to say this for the record: screw japan. I hate them (the rubberband that is).
Jealous?
I’ll let these beautiful pics sink in nicely before I post anything else. BUt I have already uploaded new pics and will post again THIS WEEK! Miracle? You ask…quite possibly so. I’m not guarantee-ing quality.

Following my previous post of how annoying all the crying on the biggest loser is, i must make a confession. I am battling some major hormones right now and have been crying at the drop of a hat for 3 days. Now isnt that ironic.

Or so i thought! But if you have ever watched this season of "THE BIGGEST LOSER: COUPLES" you will see 4 grown men crying their eyeballs out on a regular basis. This is one of our favorite shows that has ever been produced but this season has been tough for me. I cant find that one special person i want to root for and you would think i have a personal issue with Dan. He grates on my nerves…he is so full of himself. The way he cocks his head, blinks and says whatever he has to say is SUPER annoying to me! So i have never been so glad to see someone lose only 1 lb and GO HOME! May he learn to be less annoying as he grows up…thats my wish for him! AnYwayS!
Some may think that the bond that the 4 boys have is special. And i guess it is. But i have Never in my life seen grown men ball their eyes out about "losing" one another. Its a freakin television show…hello! They all got "pride" tatoos together to permanently bond their group. GAG.
Does anyone else watch this show? What are your thoughts? Oh…i do like mark alot. And alli. kelli cries too much too. What is up w/ fat people crying all the time? Super sensitive b/c of getting teased too much? Its not becoming. They are all beautiful/handsome people…but not when they cry ALL THE TIME!

Does anybody else ever wonder WHEN God is going to DO something? Like you know He has a plan but you would like to see that plan unfold soon! Thats the way i am right now w/ jeff’s job. He got offered a teaching and coaching position at parkview but didnt accept right away b/c its far and he wanted to see what dacula and grayson said 1st. Well, he didnt find out from them until it was too late at parkview and I swear…i almost killed him. Then i was reminded of the fact that he is my leader and I have to trust him. He says he did not feel at peace about parkview and felt like with us (one day) trying for a family he doesnt want to be coaching and teaching so far away and never see his wife and kid. So i am really grateful for his thoughtfulness and that he is not so ambitious that he forgets his family. He also is confident that God has a perfect place for him. I know thats true…but i’m a planner and I would really like to be able to plan my next couple of years and I need to know where jeff will be working to do that! I know…i ‘m a freak. So i’m not so patiently waiting. Wondering when we will finally have a family. Where jeff will work. Will i be able to financially afford to drop one day a week of working if he teaches outside gwinnett. So many things i wonder and worry about. I’m borrowing trouble and today has enough of its own, I know. WHY AM I SUCH A CONTROL FREAK and what in the world can i do about it?! I pray! seriously! But its in my nature to be organized and methodical and deliberate in my actions…its hard to do that when you dont know what to plan for. I am so grateful that God knows and that HE has laid it all out for us…but, boy, would I sure like to see that plan. That would defeat the purpose of faith, i know. BUt it would be so much easier!

I am partnering with my dental office to raise money for relay for life. Will you help? Last year we were $5 short of $4000! We really want to raise at least $5,000 this year. Every dollar helps fund vital research. And relay is a fun opportunity to hang out with people in our community. It is held at the gwinnett county fairgrounds on May 9th this year. ALL donations are tax deductible.
Click the link below to donate. This link will take you directly to my page. Thanks!!!

Jeff has interviewed w/ Dacula high school, grayson, and parkview this week for a math position. Please keep us in your prayers…his 1st pick is my old stomping grounds (Dacula). That kinda makes me laugh. I was ragged as a teen by everyone of jeffs friends for not going to central and now look at who works at dacula…Kyle williams, leighanne landress, elliott rodgers…and hopefully add to the list Jeff Ford! haha! I dont see anybody choosing CENTRAL!
Jeff and I have been living in a construction zone since Janurary. We decided it was time to do all the things we’ve been wanting to do to our home and for some reason we decided to do 90% of the work in the first 2 months of the year. It all started when I ordered kitchen countertops. We started off deciding on a mid grade corian which was upgraded within a week to a mid grade silestone ($10 per sq ft difference but TOTALLY worth it). And of course w/ new countertops we decided to do a new backsplash. Now, i took before pics but for some reason i guess we erased them! Sorry. What you need to know about the kitchen…we did the backsplash ourselves. VERY time consuming. We couldnt make a living doing it. It took us 4 days to finish what you see here. Its tedious work, people!

Well, after ordering the countertops we decided to learn to tile prior to the installation of them so that we would be able to do the backsplash ourselves. How did we do this?? A great (and handy) friend of ours, Stacy Robinson, helped us tile the extra bathroom floor. Here are the results. It was white lineolium (my brian is fried and i cant spell…)

And then we did the laundry room ourselves. The tile is a little dark but it should hide all the dryer lint dust pretty efficiently. We were proud since it was our 1st solo job!

And last but not least…we had a roof put on the back deck. BY FAR my favorite thing that we’ve done. The pics i took dont do it justice but its cold and dark outside and i’ll have to wait for a pretty day to get a good pic from the yard.

The last "job" was to paint our livingroom to freshen it up. And tonight jeff decided to sew the 2 rugs together because it bugs him to see the seam. (we needed a big ol rug for our livingroom so i got 2 rugs…it was cheaper!) So my seemstress is hard at work here.

Last but not least. Here is my new smile. I’m bringing sexy back. W/o makeup mind you.
