Registering

I’m hoping to get registered in the next few weeks and really need to know from you mom’s (and dads)… What things could you NOT live without for your baby? And is there a best name brand of this particular item that makes a big difference? HELP!

  3. I’m with Lindsay and I had a VERY unhappy baby…sometimes the only thing that would make him happy was the swing! You’ll HAVE to get one! We had Graco and Loved it! A wipe warmer is very important if you ask me….but babies are simple…Some clothes, diapers, soap and lotion, and they’re set :)

  4. Oh!! I totally forgot the cart/ highchair cover!! It’s another MUST Have!! I am crazy about babies and germs! I also LOVED the disposable placemats (called Table Toppers) If you EVER plan on going out to eat…you should buy some! We needed them in bulk!

  5. We got the Angel Care moniter when Jacob was born, and now we use it with Alex. It senses the baby’s smallest movements (ie - breathing) and it sounds an alarm after 20 seconds if no movement is detected. With all the SIDS scares out there, it was a real sanity saver for me!

  6. Our white noise machine has been a life saver! I also loved my carriers…Hannah ended up LOVING the sling. I had mine made from Heavenly Bundles. You can now buy slings everywhere, but 4 years ago, not so much:0) Lillian hated it, but lived in the Baby Bjorn Air. It was easy on the back and she was happy as a lark in it until she got too fat! It was very handy for about 8 months. It was a great investment for us.

  7. Definately the wipes warmer. I still use it on Chris’… I mean Coley’s bottom! Diapers are must too! I may be wrong and start a fued, but I think that the food warmers, sterilizers, etc are just a waste of space on the counters. I DID sterilize my bottles the first time that they used them, but put them in the dishwasher after that. Carseats… Infant: I used Grace that went along with the stroller. But the convertable (and you will learn all these “terms” once you get started) seat that they are both in now, is BRITAX. Its the best and the MOST expensive. But they have the highest safety ratings. I have been super pleased with them. When it comes to my children’s safety… no price is too high! Oh! And you called about the furniture too! Coleman is actually in Hudson’s baby furniture, which will turn into a full size bed. I bought it at Babies R Us. Love it too. I think its by Broyhill. No, maybe Bassett I think. And since you are having a girl… You need LOTS of hairbows and monogrammed things! :) Decided on a name yet?!?!?!?

  8. A cradle swing,it goes in both directions (side to side, front to back), both my boys loved side to side. The Baby Bjorn carrier works great, especially when you need two hands. And a floor gym/mat is great for tummy time.

  9. it is funny because each mom is so different. my biggest piece of advice. take a mom that you respect/admire in her motherhood, with you for a “pre-register” extravaganza. it was the best thing. and a great tutorial too. i asked lots of questions. then go back with jeff.

  10. Baby papasan swing & instead of the “Boppy”, I got a “Bosum Buddy”, which is essentially the same thing, but mine is softer(minky dot chenille is what they came in), a little firmer (which is great!), and CHEAPER!!! HOORAY!
